I took the plunge last night and purchased your Producer Pack for GURU. I was pleasantly surprised by many things about this package, and wanted to share my thoughts with you.
1. Installation was a 10 second download, open the zip file and run the installer. What I THOUGHT would happen was a file would be installed on my hard drive, and then I'd have to configure GURU to find it. What actually happened however, was that the files actually found the right place in GURU and actually sit right along side the original GURU pattern files, neatly labelled by catagory. No muss, no fuss. Excellent. 2. The Electronic set is amazing. Everything nicely laid out (grooves on the 'white' keys, fills on the 'black' keys) and plays flawlessly with GURU's built in 808 and other groove box kits. A brief sampling of other types of GURU kits showed that the mapping also applies well across the board, giving a ton of different rhythmic sound possibilities. 3. The Hip Hop/Funk/etc. set is equally stunning. Again, compatibility with all the kits is extremely well implemented. And the beats are great, with nice variety, and also very well organized and labelled. 4. Because the integration with GURU is so well done, auditioning the loops is a breeze. Bernie F.
